Es sollte ein schneller Finaltag beim € 550 WPT Opener Event der World Poker Tour (WPT) im King’s Resort Rozvadov sein. SVARAS konnte sich behaupten und über € 79.000 Preisgeld und das € 3.300 WPT Main Event Ticket jubeln.
Henry Kilbane führte die letzten 24 der 1.158 Entries in den Finaltag. Insgesamt lagen € 550.500 im Preisgeldtopf, davon gab es für die Top 20 das € 3.300 Ticket für das WPT Germany Main Event. Alle hatten bereits € 2.700 als Preisgeld sicher, als es gestern an die Tische ging.
Allzuviel Spielraum gab es nicht und entsprechend schnell sollten sich auch die Reihen lichten. Die deutschsprachige Beteiligung im Finale war nicht mehr groß und alle Hoffnungen dahin, als Dominik Nissen auf Rang 5 ausschied. Nach ihm musste der anfängliche Chipleader Henry Kilbane an die Rail Im Heads-up konnte sich schließlich SVARAS gegen Ashot Oganesian durchsetzen und so den Sieg für € 79.000 (+ Ticket) sichern.
