Vom 5. bis 16. März machen die European Poker Tour Season 9 (EPT9) und die UK & Ireland Poker Tour (UKIPT) in London Halt. Das London Poker Festival 2013 lockt mit zahlreichen Events und Cash Games.
London ist ohnehin eine Poker Hochburg, doch im März wird es zum Zentrum für die europäische Poker Community. Auf dem Spielplan des London Poker Festival 2013 stehen 37 Turniere, sodass für elf Tage satte Poker Action geboten wird. Cash Games, die 24 Stunden pro Tag laufen, runden das Angebot ab.
Den Auftakt macht das £770 UKIPT Main Event (5. bis 10. März). Austragungsort ist das Grosvenor Victoria Casino. Das ganz große Highlight ist das EPT9 London Main Event £5.250 Buy-in, welches vom 10. bis 16. März ebenfalls in ‚The Vic‘ gespielt wird.
Fans des EPT Live Webcast dürfen sich freuen, denn dieser startet an Tag 1a des Main Events und wird die komplette Poker Action bis zur Entscheidung am Final Table über das Internet jedem zugänglich machen.
Ebenfalls auf dem Terminplan für die EPT9 London stehen das £10.300 High Roller Single Reload (14. & 15. März). Dazu gibt es zahlreiche Side Events, viele davon werden auch im PokerStars LIVE, dem neuen Poker Room im Hippodrome Casino am Leicester Square, gespielt.
Zum letzten Mal machte die European Poker Tour im September 2011 in der englischen Millionenstadt Halt. Damals entschied Benny Spindler das Turnier für sich und kassierte £750.000 Preisgeld.
